Does is look like blu-ray is winning the format war?

I've been holding out for a blu-ray or HD player and with a lot of the news lately (Microsoft not putting HD in their new xBox, one of the manufacturers abandoning HD, and Netflix now only offering blu-ray) it seems like blu-ray is going to prevail on this one. Your opinions????
