We've gone to Cancun in October and had a hurricane hit. It's a c**p shoot if you're going. I would suggest getting the insurance when you book and DON'T get a mexican run air transport. They don't refund the money. They are run by the government and you have to use your tickets within a year from the time of purchase.

I don't know where Angel Face gets February--most of the places that I've visited (I've been to 18 of the 31 states), the rainy season is usually April to September.  And during the rainy season, it doesn't rain all day, every day, but you may get an our or two in the afternoon.

Yes, often there are hurricanes in October, like hurricane Wilma a few years ago.Otherwise, you will generally see a little bit of rain almost every day, but the sun will usually come back out.

Yes, in October we still have some rain but not much like in September.  All depends of the area of the country.

Since the global warming, last October we had lots of rain, most in south Mexico like Chiapas State and Tabasco State.
