Does it Matter if I take physics in this order?

Does it matter if I take physics 1 in the fall and wait till next fall and take physics 2 or should I take physics 2 right after physics one?

  1. From one who took physics 1, 2 and 3, I recommend taking them in as quick succession as possible.  The reason why is that you may forget a lot of the basic principles of Phys 1 that you will DEFINITELY need for Phys 2.  

    Phys 1 is basic Newtonian physics and thermodynamics.  Phys 2 is e-mag and optics.  It is very easy to forget the details and end up way behind the curve in your first few weeks.  Now imagine if you had a whole semester of no practice then try to get back in the groove.  

    Bad idea to take semesters in between hardcore subjects.  Does it matter?  Truly?  No.  but I would not wait out the semester.


  2. doesn't matter the order. as long as you want to graduate, you have to complete them both.
