Does it Matter what way you put in daily disposable contact lenses? If the lenses folds up on your finger it’s hard to tell what was the original way, I’ve not noticed a difference when wearing them, but one of my friends says he finds his lenses really uncomfortable when he puts them in inside out (we both wear daily disposables).

  1. Yeah it's hard to describe but they should form a nice rounded bowl shape when the right way round and if you squeeze them in half gently the edges should meet and not turn away from eachother.  When they're inside out they make more of a V shape. Mine are uncomfortable if I put them in the wrong way round.

ETA here is picture showing the squeezing I tried to describe,  the one on the left is the correct way round.

  2. I had this problem and it really hurts - I think you are putting them in the correct way or else you would know about it.

My optician showed me a way of checking - I would try and explain but it is to difficult when you are writing it - Ask your optician

  3. i dont think so, i always get my folded up etc as it takes me a couple of attempts to get them in. they always seem fine. sometimes they are even folded when i open up the packet.

  4. they will scratch the cornea if inside out.  open up the contact, leave on the tip of the finger,  hold up to the light if you see a lip the lens is inside out.  if it looks like a perfect bowl they are the right way.

  5. You'll know if they are inside out or in the wrong eye , they will be uncomfortable

  6. I can wear mine either way, makes no difference to me :)

  7. Yeah i find them really uncomfortable when they're inside out, you can really feel them

  8. Yes it does look at the lense when you put it in, if there is a little lip coming out it is backwards. You could really hurt your eye the other way.

  9. They just don't feel right when you put them in the wrong way and hurt my eyes.  They should be more a circle rather than an oval shape when you put them in.  Always make sure they are lubricated with a drop of saline first.
