It drives me insane!!!!!! I'm not talking about a restaurant/bar. I'm talking a straight up smoky pool hall scene with drunkards everywhere.

  1. OMG Ya it's not good for the kids at all you might as well just let the kid smoke and drink if your going to take them there. They're also really annoying too!!!!

  2. Yes it's horrible. I don't see how some people can be such horrible parents. Do they not have a single friend or family member or even neighbor who ISN'T necessarily a friend but they know are responsible could be watching this kid?? Seriously! I also heard about this couple who has 2 small kids and the husband got hurt really badly like he can't even really use his arms right now and she decided to go out all night to the bar and leave him with the kids. He can't even take care of them and she knows it! I mean I can understand that they have marital problems and she's being a total B* but how can you do that to your KIDS?

  3. Yeah that anger's me a lot because the kid doesn't have a choice but to be with the parent and he/she is probably going to be a deliquent because of what he/she has seen and that is also a mental image that can hurt the child as he or she grows up making him/her a worse person.

  4. do you live in a different country because I find it hard to believe that a bar in america would even let kids in! restaurants that have bars in them don't even sit people with kids near the bar! wow that is insane what kind of example are the setting for their kids

  5. I do not go to bars so I can not say that it bothers me. What I can not understand is why, once a parent, people still go to bars. While I can see once in a great while, the "boys night out" and "girls night out" should have been over with once that child was born. Nothing good happens in bars and certainly when there is alcohol involved.

  6. Call the cops....it is against the law in every state in the Union.

  7. Its all part of the local culture. Agree with it No. However as I was growing up it was common to go with dad or grandpa to the corner tap, Kids would have a soda and play pinball while the old guys talked. It is still common in WI and legal. Personally I wouldnt bring my kids into the bar with me, But times have changed since I grew up especially when it comes to bar culture and drinking.

  8. Grrrr!! This is one of the very few things that P!SS me off.

Where I work, there is a bar over the road and down a bit. I used to see people and their kids there, and my blood boils.

A bar is no place to bring kids up.

Thankfully in Australia our bars are non-smoking. The smartest thing our Government ever did.

There is NO way you will ever see my kids in a bar before they are legal. EVER. It is no place for children. If you want to drink DRINK at home. Seriously at least then you control the environment, and your children don't see drunk people drinking irresponsibly.

My eldest sons parents were like that. My poor baby grew up in a bar, or in his tiny play pen. It's disgusting.

I can't even talk about it without being MAD.

    You have my full support!

  9. Family time shouldn't be spent in a place like that. Most responsible parents with common sense would know that family time spent outdoors should be done at a place that is family/children friendly. A place like that would be considered adult/parent time without the children. There's a time to enjoy a few drinks here and there, but do it on "parent" time not family time. I guess some parents would rather enjoy themselves then care about the well being of their children to be at a place like that which isn't children friendly.

  10. Honestly, I'm not a fan of people taking their kids to the bar at restaurants.  I couldn't imagine seeing a child in an actual bar.  Seems a bit irresponsible on the parent's part to me.

  11. wrong wrong wrong. kids should not be amongst smoke and drunk people. they will think this is appropriate behaviour and take it up way to early in life

  12. We took our daughter out to a bar with a patio last weekend to celebrate my aunt's birthday.  She was only there for about a half hour and was asleep in my non-drinking husband's arms.  We were outside on the street side patio.  She never set a foot inside.  I don't really see a problem with that if it's once in awhile.  We'd never done it before and don't plan to again.  I'd never bring her IN the bar, heck no!  I'd never bring her anywhere filled with smoke and drunks.

  13. When you become a parent, you will stop judging other people. Maybe they can't get a sitter, maybe their car was in the shop next door. Who knows. Wait until you have a child, you sometimes have to do things that may look "inappropriate" to others, but sometimes there's no choice. I don't think childless people have any right judging others who have kids!

  14. Not really.  Little kids don't know what's going on.

  15. Isn't that illegal?

I know it is here (in Canada) and it should be everywhere else!

  16. Yes I hate it! It's a bad influence. I know people who do this, and me and my mom always try to babysit their kid when they're visiting and want to go out to a bar.

  17. I didn't think kids were even allowed in bars.

  18. uh...yah thats tacky!

  19. Absolutely.. Worse though are the ones that lock the kids in the car while they go in and drink!

  20. Yes!

  21. Yes. I've seen that. I even seen a mother and 10 year old daughter dressed alike. The little girl had her tummy out, her hair out, and a pair of high calf boots and shorts. This was well after dark too. Thats no place for  child to be. (and noway for a child to dress)

  22. Sure , they are crazy and stupid

  23. Where I live, you can't bring a kid in a bar like that. And at restaurants that have bars too, they can be there, but they have to be at a table, it is illegal for a child to actually sit at the bar.

That must be a weird sight. It would anger me too, unless it was the bar owner's kid or something, and then they ought to be keeping the kid in the back office or something.
