It annoys me very much !!! Everyone thought Nadal could never ever win wimbledon and he proved them all wrong :) Winning the French, Queens and Wimbledon is amazing and he deserved to his game has improved sooo much. What makes ppl think he`s going to do bad at hardcourt season ? Hmm.... If he stays injured free theres no reason why he cant make it far in those tournaments and win them!!! Yes i said it he can WIN them :P lol call me crazy if ya like lol However has game hasnt just improved on clay or grass, his game has improved in general every aspect is better, its not about the surfaces he can do well on hard and has proven it he has beat Roger and Novak before on hardcourt and won titles on that surface. So for ppl to judge the now about Rafa`s game on hardcourt just wait till hard season is upon us and then we`ll see how Mr Nadal does :) He`ll shock all his haters :P hehe Vamos Rafa xx

  1. Ino yer...people cant just say hes only good on clay when hes made the final for wimbledon twice in a row! lol Hes improved so much since last year and hes got the fitness and strength to keep improving and Winning....Yeh hes awesome on clay and im sure hes just as good on hardcourt cus hes got the ability to change his game to suit his opponent and the surface hes on..... hes also the cutest tennis player ever ; ) and i love him..... vamos rafa :D

  2. yeah...of course.....................

    he is awesome........................wherever he plays.............

  3. Yes it does but time will prove them all wrong in my opinion.

  4. Yes  it does, he can win on any surface - he's so good right now  if he had to play on sand he would win! seriously he's just getting better & better;& will (I hope ) knock Federer off the top spot . I think Rafa's a much better all rounder than anyone else  so let's hope he proves all his doubters wrong.

  5. Yeah it annoys me soo much :@ !  Rafa's game has progressed so much on all surfaces - not just grass!!  When he was being interviewed he said he doesn't even practice on grass or a hard court except from when he is playing in a grass or hard court tournament so to make the Wimbledon final for two years in a row is great and then to come back the next year and win it against the current King of Grass is phenomenal!!  Rafa's serve is now a weapon whereas it wasn't previously so that will stand him in good stead for all the tournaments he hasn't won :-)) (not a lot :-P).  He has won Queens and is the undisputed King of Clay and now he has added Wimbledon to his titles =) !  The US and Aussie are his baybeee :-D !  I could go on for ever and ever and ever about how amazing I think Rafa is but I might start to bore you lmao.  Federer will, in my opinion, never win the French Open while Rafa is around and I think it's only a matter of time before Mr Nadal wins the US and Aussie and proves to everyone that he is the best player in the world!  Soon, the world rankings will show how much he has improved when he overtakes Federer and becomes world #1.  Can't wait :-))

    Vamos Rafa xx =)

  6. No! Who is Rafa?

  7. Yes, it does. I think he just needs to improve his hardcourt game is all. I think what people mean to say is that he is a clay court specialist. he is the king of clay.  Roger is still the king of grass and in my eyes will always be. Same when Rafa loses at the French he will still always be the King of Clay.

  8. Yeah its really stupid, even before he won Wimbledon, he has always been a good grass court player, he was just better on clay than he is on grass.

  9. It does annoy me very much! He is such a good grass court player, and I think that he should get more credit than just being a clay court player. Sure hard courts aren't his best surface, but he's won a few masters series titles on them. He'll be the next grass court superstar one day, and hopefully hard courts as well!!

    Vamos, Rafa!

  10. The thing is Rafa have been around for so long that people forget he's only 22.He still have plenty of room to improve.

Imagine what he'll be capable of at 24 and 25 if his game continues to improve at this rate?

  11. It annoys me too! People seem to have drawn this ultimatum that noone stands a chance against him on clay but when it comes to hardcourts and grass, anyone can beat him. Which is stupid really, I mean he has masters shields at Indian Wells, Madrid and Montreal. And has reached the finals and semi-finals of many of the American hardcourt tournaments, so for anyone else that would be considered a very good record, yet people still deny his ability. Also, now that he has won Wimbledon and Queens, and the fact that grass is the fastest surface to play on shows his improvement, and I think we will see it when it comes to the next few masters tournaments, and the Olympics and the Open.

Whats going to make me laugh is if he actually wins the US Open (call me crazy if you want, but he is almost equal favourite to Roger on some betting sites), cause that means he only has to win the Australian Open to complete a career GrandSlam, whereas Roger has to win the French, which I can't see him doing when Nadal is active.

  12. Yeahh it does.

They need to give him credit on hard and grass.

    Hes good all around;

    :D

  13. People don't realize how progressive Nadal is. He is improving at an alarming rate. And  they make the mistake of judging him based on the past rather than the future. They think "He has never done well at the US, therefore he will never do well". Anyone knows that that is stupid logic. At the rate he is improving, Federer will be scared to meet him in the final of the US.

  14. Its because Rafa has been so much more successful on clay than on the other surfaces. But people don't recoignise that Rafa is just unbelievable on clay but like you say it doesn't mean he can't play on other surfaces just because he hasn't been as successful on them.

Rafa won Queens and Wimbledon and in the process beating the world number 1-A player who hadn't lost on grass since 2003!-So I think people will now recoignise this!!

As for the hard courts his record isn't terrible-Just terrible compared to his unbelievable clay record. I mean any player who reaches the semis at the Aussie on a surface he is supposed to be c**p on is a fantastic achievement! He has also beaten Federer on this surface too.

Another reason people say this is because Rafa in the past was just a clay courter But since 06 he has played well on every surface and has continued to improve on each on-Most noteibly on grass.

I have my doubts as to whether he will ever be a world class player on the hard courts like he has become on grass. The hard courts simply don't suit him! Having said that I fail to see why this will stop him being successful on the surface due to the fact he is such a great player and incredible athelete who should be able to play on any surface without any problem.

Oh yeah-Another reason may be that awful match against Tsonga in which he looked so one dimensional though I am sure he learned alot from that match.

  15. well, if he can beat Federer on grass, he can do anything :)
