  1. absolutely. people take their freedom for granted. youd never see a vet do that.

  2. I seriously almost killed the guys behind us at the all star game. They were drunk of course. They sang during the  Canadian anthem but it was way out of tune and very disrespectful. If you watched the game you may have seen that a choir did the us anthem but i couldn't really hear it. The drunks that sang out of tune decided to yell "Let's Go Misfits" the whole time. I seriously almost lost it standing there

  3. It is also rude for people to blow their air horns during O Canada.

  4. I don't care about the anthem when I'm watching the game on TV ..why should I care when I'm at the arena hearing it live? Because I'm in public and it's not PC to sit while the anthem is being sung? Go away. I'm sure every time you hear the anthem you about face and salute the flag you Commie!

I was forced as a kid to listen to that God awful Star Spangled Banner in school and stand up every morning. We couldn't sit down. I've stood up more than enough for 100 lifetimes of living in America. Thank you.

Okay. I guess tonight's the night you find out what it's like to eat your words. See you next time the anthem is playing and every time after that to see if your saluting and "respecting" those veterans. When is this war going to be over so that I don't have to be talked down to because I'm being honest. Muster up the courage to tell the truth of what you actually did before right now and maybe I'll muster some up also.

  5. Ya know, I was thinking the same thing during the last Sabres/Leafs game and the asshat from Toronto behind me munched on his popcorn and burped through the American anthem. That isn't, at all, to say that some dumb American redneck wouldn't have done it in Canada. I just think its especially tacky when you disrespect those practices in another country. Stand there, take your hat off, and just be quiet for the whole 30 seconds people are singing. And if you don't agree with the singing of the anthem, that's fine, but shut up till we're done.

  6. I am a 55 year old disabled vet, it bothers me a little, but it is so little now compared to what it used to be in the 60's and 70's, I was a 19 year old sailor stationed in Chicago for a year in 1971, and it was not uncommon for 30 % of the people to not even stand up or boo during its playing at Cub, Bull and Bears game.

Bottom line is my opinion of people who show no respect for it is they are very rude, bothers me a lot more for a president to send kids over to get killed for no reason

  7. yeah! how hard is it to stand up for two minutes and listen to the anthem!

  8. yea it bugs me too! and i am a minnesota wild fan but i was born in canada and i hate it when they sit down and they are singing the canadian anthem...UGH!

    ***random thingy****

i was in the bathroom was during the national anthem...i felt bad because i didnt stand up....

  9. yes because people always disrespect the Canadian national anthem

  10. It certainly does.

  11. Yup...it bothers me...even when people don't take their hats off.  Really it takes all but 1 minute if that.

  12. Completely disrerectful!  Take your stupid hat off.  Put your beer down for 1minute 30 seconds, stop talking, what you have to say is not that important.  The men and women who have fought and who are fighting deserve at LEAST this much.  Show some rspect and stop acting like a first grader. I can't count the times I have had to ask some genuis to take his hat off, shut his mouth and be respectful.  Almost got thrown out because loser boy called security and said I threatened him, real man Huh?  After that I bothered him and his date all night long and made sur he was miserable, the usher came by and told the guy he was free to leave at anytime.  You see, the usher was a veteran and thanked me.

  13. I think they should stand up and be quiet etc... but, as long as they aren't boo'ing I don't really care more than that.

  14. I think it's terrible when people disrespect any anthem.  Sitting doesn't necessarily mean they're disrespectful, though, as long as the person sitting isn't talking to others, eating, reading the program, etc etc.

Bill, you're very welcome to leave the country.  With that attitude, we don't need you around.

  15. I stand, hat off, for both anthems. As a matter of respect if nothing else even though I can't stand Bush. (the president, ditto the beer and women who don't shave) I think the local Central Hockey League team could be the only rink in America with 4 flags near the raptors (US, Canada, Texas and Mexico)

  16. Hey Bill, You need to realize that you wouldn't even have the ability to make the choice of sitting, or standing if it weren't for the Veterans. You make me sick. It's not being PC it's about pride, It don't matter what country your in, If your not proud to be an American, or a Canadien. You need to pack up and leave my country the one I fought for. I hate to think that my blood, and my friends blood were spent, on giving a person like you the right to disrespect this country in that manner. But you know what that is what Freedom is.

  17. i dont care what people do
