First, I'm a registered Independent , that said... I'm trying to teach my kids that as long as you have good values and respect it doesn't matter if your green but here Obama and his family listened to 20 years of absolute hate and people don't care.... I actually heard a person on the news say they were voting for him because Oprah is, This country is in trouble and it seems hard working Americans are going to pay dearly.

  1. Did you also teach your children that our current president claims that he takes his direction from a higher power and as a result, sent over 4,000 American soldiers to their death while killing 100,000s of Iraqis and displacing over a million more? I don't know about you but the God I follow said "thou shalt not kill" and his son reinforced that.

Considering that is what our chief executive has done is it any wonder that a devout man of God would suggest that God will not bless this nation but rather d**n it?

  2. Yes, but I don't think it was all pure hate, just enough to be alarming and dangerous.

  3. yes it bothers me, people need to listen closer to what he has to say, and not just vote for him because of race. Anyone who would vote for him just cause he is black is racist, aginst white people. Look at his heart not his out side.

  4. I wonder this as well. I think America has decided and it seems Obama will not be President. Look at his polling numbers. If you factor in Nader, McCain has anywhere from 7-10% advantages.

  5. I'm no fan of religion and regulars here know it. Personally, I think hate is all religion is about but you've taken a 1 minute montage of selected, heavily edited clips and stretched them into 20 years.   Think much?

  6. FYI:  This country has been in trouble for centuries!

Don't blame that mess on Obama!

Under The Bush Administaration, Americans HAVE ALREADY PAID, Dearly, might I add!

    NEXT!

  7. In my personal opinion, I think America will pay dearly if we get McCain in office. Second, as Obama said in his speech, that  he did not always agree with Rev. Wright. Besides that happened many months ago.

I think we should just get over it

  8. I don't care where someone goes to church, as long as they aren't bothering me with it.  That's the beauty of this country, you can go to church and listen to lies, hate, fairy tales, etc and it doesn't effect me one bit, as your religion is private.

  9. That is one of the things that bother me about his judgment.

  10. Yes, and I don't understand how Americans can defend each of these true things which crop up about him. Sure there are lies on each side, but I mean the true stuff... seems there such a strong effort to put a spin on all of it; excuses, excuses, excuses. My grandmother would have washed my mouth out with soap if I'd ever acted like the media does about Obama.

  11. Yes, as it should.  The Rev. Wright is not the only "mentor" of Obama's.  Looks like that's perfectly fine with a LOT of people.  They've rationalized the *** out of this issue.  Truly frightening.

  12. You are right. Our outlook is not very attractive if you are a contributing American. Jimmy Carter will be busy, though, with putting up the free houses for the welfare recipients and food stamp collection class.

  13. I'm a registered Independent, too. What bothers me is the hate and ignorance spewed by Fox and AM radio.

  14. No, snowflake, he didn't listen to 20 years of pure hate, and you know it, any more than Catholics took their children to mass so the priests could molest them.

    Try again.

  15. Everyone will see in a year or two that he has only been saying what he needed to, to get elected.  He is empty.  Empty speeches, empty promises, he stands for nothing, doesn't even hold some of the basic principles that this nation were founded on.

  16. Funny, the once addicted to Oxycontin Rush tells people who to vote for all the time... As soon some one goes against the brainwashing of conservative talk radio all h**l brakes loose... Anyway, on to the question....

Rev. Wright has been will known for a long time, he was invited to the White House acouple of times during the Clinton aadministration.. further more Obama lived in Washington since 2005... further more, I will venture to say that no youtube video featuring Rev. Wright dates back that far...

So you can't say that he was there...

Now can this thing rest... really the economy is trying to skirt a recession, a lot of people have lost their jobs... there are way more important things to discuss...

  17. If you are referring to his former minister, I'm sure that each sermon wasn't based on 'pure hate'. Every minister has their own opinions and spin on the word of God and their own political views, too. I don't always agree with my own FAMILY'S sometimes ignorant rants on certain controversial topics. I cannot honestly say that I have agreed with EVERY sermon I have ever listened to in church or with EVERY pastor I have ever listened to but I know how I personally feel so their thoughts don't change MY core beliefs. OBVIOUSLY Obama has a brain and can decipher FACT from fiction and isn't easily swayed to change his ideals or morals. I trust him to use HIS brain and moral compass in his present and future decisions whether he wins this election or not.

  18. Obama is a racist, by association if nothing else yes that scares me and I am not White but American Indian

  19. If you're referring to the fact that Mr Obama was a member of a UCC church, then, I'd suggest you read about what that church believes.

  20. both candidates are salesman. We have to look pass the sales pitch and look at who  really cares about our nation and not just trying to tell people what he thinks they want to hear. (ala Clintons). I feel strongly MC Cain is a better choice. He knows the war has no easy fix if it did Bush would have fixed it to save his reputation. Mc Cain is not a puppet of Bush. He is his own man with an impressive pass.

  21. No it doesn't; and your question is inaccurate.  He didn't listen to 20 years of pure hate.  There was 30 second clip of Rev. Wright criticizing the culture of America.  If there were more videos of this supposed 20 years of hate, you would have seen them by now.  Funny how there is only this clip.

White people really need to get over being criticized.  There are plenty of historical facts and examples of mistreatment and racist acts they have inflicted on many races since the Pilgrims landed on Plymouth rock.  If you ask a native American if they love Thanksgiving, I'm sure you'll get a response you won't like as well, but call it racism.

  22. that is just one of the reasons i am not voting for him. i know how hurt black people can feel about racism. well, i am white and it is just as hurtful against whites.

  23. It bothers me, that he portrays himself as the opposite.  He is a uniter and has the countries best interest in mind.  That is not what sitting in a hate filled church with your two young children says to me.  If you would fill your own children with hate, then what makes you think that I would be interested in anything you have to say.

  24. Hussein is trying to reinvent himself by throwing everyone and everything that got him the nomination under the bus to try to hide the truth about himself.

  25. A guy that writes 2 autobiographies about himself, from before he's 45.. means he's been CALCULATING and planning this whole thing -- to his crazy credit, really -- for years/decades. sooo.... I'm more understanding of it, than bothered

Not really, because I think that maybe that ALL was a ruse, and an acceptance of his to get into the "community" and "keep it real" and connect with those that he hoped, by strategy to become HIS BASE. Remember, he had no base other than a white area of Hawaii and his college friends, really. His wife and HER community gave him a pedestal. He may have been glad to assimilate with that black community, is all.

  26. does it bother you that a backwards republican might win instead?

I find for politics the best approach is vote for the least bad candidate.

or "the best of the worst"

  27. It bothers me that he removed the American flag from his plane and doesn't even sing or hold his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. That said- anyone running for President should have America's best interest art heart and he KNOWS he isn't the person to beat McCain. He should have dropped out of the race. We're in for another four years of being led by someone who has too many houses to keep track of. Clinton should have run for VP and then had monkey boy done with.

  28. um all i have to say is so what...

he is still much smarter the McCain...

and yes Evey candidate has there short comings...

but that's why Obama picked Biden as his Vice president...

cuz Biden has everything obama is lacking...

so with the 2 of them together you have a PERFECT team to run this country...

  29. The truth will set you free, if you can be bothered with the truth.

I'm voting for Obama, not a pastor. McCain voters are voting for McCain, not his jailers who he loves to talk about.

  30. it doesn't bother me, because for one jeremiah wright was correct- god should hate america for all of the violence and pain we have caused all over the world.

most people don't even pay attention in church anyway.

now, what does bother me is that john mccain listened to what ammounts to 50 years of hate just by being involved in the military and political machine we set up.

and for your information- hard working americans like myself (i work over 50 hours a week) ARE HURTING. and it would get worse with mccain.

  31. Does it bother you that Obama live through over 40 years of pure hate, and has still made it to the democratic nomination. This country has expressed over 200 years of hate towards Obama's kind, does that bother you???????????
