Does it bother you when someone sitting behind you puts their feet on your chair?

It bothers me horrendously. As a current university student, I find myself a target of it every now and then.

Whenever someone does it, I simply turn around and tell them to get their feet off my chair. One guy got mad at me once.

What ever happened to etiquette?

  1. I hate it when people do that! I told some little kid to get his feet off of my chair once at a baseball game and his father got mad at me... He told me not to talk to his son like that, he claimed his son was doing no wrong.

  2. Speaking of poor classroom etiquette--those meat heads who chew tobacco during class and spit into a soda can.  That schitt drives me crazy.

  3. If the person behind you puts his feet on the rungs that are underneath your seat, and if that person can sit pretty still, stop fussing.

If the person puts his feet on the rungs and spends the entire class session moving his feet, kicking the rungs, bouncing his feet, then by all means tell them that their actions are distracting and you would appreciate it if they would stop.

It always helps to make friends with a couple of people in each class.  Then you have someone to sit with.  Arrange with your friend that they will always sit behind you.  Or, if there are more desks than people in a particular class, put your backpack in the seat behind you and get a friend to put theirs in the same seat.  Now no one can sit there.

  4. Yes!!
