  1. When using a land line the person doing the calling is charged.  U are only charged if U accept a collect call.  Have no idea how cell phones charge cause I don't have one.  It should explain it somewhere in your plan.

  2. If its to a landline number then the answer is no. If they are ringing your mobile then, unfortunately, the answer is yes

  3. If it's on your cell phone you get charged the air time, but not the long distance charge.

No charges to you on your land line.

  4. If it's cellular, then it depends on the network.

  5. On a land-line, only if they call you collect.  Otherwise, it's on their dime.  Not sure about your cell phone plan, however.

  6. Calls to PSTN landline is free, unless collect call.

Cell phone depends on your service contract.

If unlimited incoming calls contract, then no charge for incoming calls on cell.

If no unlimited incoming calls contract on cell, then yes, you are charged.

If VoIP service, then depends on contract.

If VoIP unlimited service, there is no charge for incoming.

Some VoIP contracts (like I have) do charge for incoming calls.  My monthly rate is very, very cheap, but I do pay 1.5 cent/min for the incoming calls.

So, just depends on your service contracts.

  7. On a land line?  No.

Your cell phone still racks up minutes, unless you are in an included minute time.
