I'm referring to Mrs. Palin's speech where she let slip that her own sister would live the "American Dream" by opening a service station buiness.

  1. To own one's own business, isn't that the American dream?

Are you trying to make some convoluted connection to something or what?

  2. Yeah, I don't understand what you're inferring. It was part of the speech. She was referring to her sister living the American dream by owning her own business.

  3. OMG! Her sister owns a service station in Alaska?!? She's practically in bed with the big oil companies isn't she? I see another stupid attack coming on her family.....

  4. I hope you know that makes no sense what so ever.  O HIGHLY doubt that was a slip, she was confident all the way.

  5. No, it doesn't concern me that she let that slip. I just find that bit of information dumb. I don't care about her sister's dream.

  6. Next to owning a home the "American Dream" is a small business for most people - but then most liberals wouldn't know that because their dream is for a government to coddle them from the crib to the grave.

  7. oh shut up.

    MCCAIN/ PALIN 08!

  8. h**l, i wished i owned a service station.

    You rich or something?

  9. In what way would this be embarrassing or inappropriate?  Running a service station is a perfectly respectable way to make a living.  More than one person has raised a family on such a job.

  10. I don't think she "let slip" anything

she didn't wander onto stage without a great speech at the ready

  11. Wow, you must have a really screwed up idea of what the American Dream is.

  12. Did being a small business owner become a bad thing?

  13. / Slip?

The American Dream to own a business (small or large) is to be commended!

  14. Is that all you got against her?  Because that is truly pathetic.

  15. After she abused her office for revenge for her sister, I'm not to surprised she slipped in some free advertising on national TV too.

  16. And her husband is a oil executive.

  17. Oooo, her sister would be a small business owner!  That IS the "American Dream" for most Americans.

    What's your point?

  18. Well, it got applause, that was the point.

But then, she could have said "George Washington was a traitor" and gotten applause, that audience was so hyped up.

And that speech was so carefully written and vetted and practiced that I guarantee you, it was not a slip.

  19. No - she's opening a small business which is wonderful!  That is truly the American dream!

  20. She made a great point that there are lots of workers and small business people across the country who would be hurt by the tax burden the democrat agenda would require.
