  1. It mainly depends on the gas station. Some do have air pumps that are free that you can use or you may have to pay a small fee to put air in your tires. You should be able to find a place that will let you put air in your bike tire for less than a dollar (probably 25 or 50 cents), but finding one for free may be hard depending on the gas stations around you.

    Good luck!

  2. Yes, usually it will cost you about 50 cents to use their air =]

  3. Keep in mind that the air pumps at gas stations can usually only go up to around 60-70 PSI.  That's only good for mountain bikes, which requires air pressure in the 40-60 PSI range.

If you have a road bike with skinny tires, they usually require pressures in the 100 PSI range.  You really should have a bicycle tire pump at home for that.  Underinflating those road tires will cause pinch flats.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Some charge and some don't.  It depends on which gas station you go to.
