  1. $5 a month ive heard

  2. I would get the unlimited data plan if you intend on using it.  They charge by the megabyte, if you don't.  If those fingers get happy, it could run pretty high by the end of the cycle.

  3. YES- you will be charged for for the data consumed by those programs. Do not confuse "unlimited text messages" with "unlimited data plan," they are not the same. A text message is also known as "SMS" which means "Short Messaging Service." If you have an unlimited text message plan you can send messages all day long via SMS without additional charges. In the case of DATA however, GSM phones such as the one you have for AT&T probably have GPRS/EDGE which costs about $20/month extra to use unlimited. If you have a more advanced 3G phone with higher throughput (UMTS/HSDPA), then your probably looking at another $45/month because of the higher bandwidth.

One nice thing about the unlimited data plan is that you would be able to connect your phone to your laptop and surf anywhere there is coverage. Also, if your Samsung phone is equipped with an email client, you would be able to set it up to send and receive emails from your phone. Do google for Samsung's PC Studio which is a free download that let's you do alot of fun stuff with your phone, especially with the unlimited data plan.
