Does it cost money to call someone in canada?

i have at&t and i was just wonderring if it costs any thing extra

  1. if your talking about cellular.... be careful as those phone companies often "contract" out service to local carriers who all slap on service charges.  I would call at&t before coming to find out specifically what exactly the charges will be and if "bundle packages" are available.

    I know going to the states and using my Canadian cell phone (Rogers)  I got swacked bad


  2. I have VIOP here in Canada, so I no longer suffer from ridiculous long distance charges...look into it, its great, and CHEAP!

  4. Yes, it is an international call. I don't use AT&T's long distance service, I use their Voice over IP instead, with them it costs 4 cents a minutes. Without that it will most likely cost more.

If you have not arranged with your LD carrier for international calls, then yes, you will have to pay extra for the calls outside of the country.  The cell phones will kill you, better to use a land line.  You will have to check with your LD carrier to see what the charges would be for the call it all depends on where you are and where you are calling to and how long you talk

    but if it is long distance from where you are, then yes...
