  1. No its free, but youll need a wireless router or buy the wii ethernet adapter if your going to hard wire your wii to your modem. The wii internet channel does cost 500 wii points( $5) and is just a one time fee.

  2. nooo

  3. i really dontthink so cause mostly connecting things on the wii like internet is free(wireless is free)

  4. You win the award for: Lack of Common Sense!!!

  5. When I bought my Lap Top, I paid extra for the WiFi because it is built in to the computer. So, yes, it costs extra! Everything costs extra!

  6. Actually, you don't really hook the Wii up to your computer, at least not in the way some might think. You merely connect it to the internet:

Wireless - Included in the Wii unit. if you have a wireles router/modem or a close neighbor shares theirs with you.

Service is free if you leech off your neighbor's signal. Costs if you pay for internet at home.

Wired - if you buy the optional ethernet adapter and connect from a router or off a second network card in your PC (this is NOT a common way to do it, but is possible). Costs are your internet service and the adapter $35-50 depending on which you get (3rd party or Nintendo) and where (New/Used).

This allows you to update the Wii as Nintendo releases new capabilities and options, as well as giving you access to their online catalog of games (new and old), communication with other Wii owners (Friend codes) and more.

I hope this helps. Enjoy your Nintendo Wii!

  7. No it doesn't cost anything. If you have a router or nintendo wi-fi connection you will be able to use the internet or any of the other wii channels.
