Does it cost money to open a checking account with Bank of America? ?

Im 18 now, and tired of my mom handling my paycheck money. What do I have to do to open one?

Nope! Its totally free. All you have to do is go in and ask. And if you're a student its even better. then you dont have to have a certain amount in your checking account in order not to get fined. Plus you'll get a debit card in the mail like a week later. And if you want to do direct deposit thats totally free to. You can also have an online account where you can check how much you spend and so on. Hope that helped!

just go there with your first check coming and open an account - no fees - or try looking around your local banks on-line- usually there is a charge for checks but you can get a debit card and it is free.
