  1. if you have insurance than no

  2. u don't even have to involve the at&t store. u need to save all ur contacts to the sim card. the text messages, ringers, and stuff; there on the phone so u cant transfer those over unless u get a data cable. see the system doesn't see ur phone, all its sees is the simcard; so moving ur simcard to another phone is no big deal. it doesn't cost u a dime, and it doesn't re-sign ur contract. if u involve the store; they will change the imei in the system; that changes when u can do ur next upgrade, speaking of upgrades. did u know that u might be able to upgrade ur phone? yes; every yr or so, u can upgrade ur cellphone. so if i was u; i would stop into ur friendly neighborhood radio shack, and have them check it for u. there free phones, there all kinda prices, and all the latest phones to choose from, so why don't u go check it out? if all else fails; get ur aunt to buy u a at&t go phone and put ur sim card into that, lol.

  3. U will no have to sign a new contract. You shouldnt even have to bring it into ATT. Just switch your sim card into your aunts phone and it should work!!

  4. Go in to your address book and mark all of your contacts and move them to you sim card if you have a memory card you can save your "stuff" but the txts are lost.

Take the back off both phones and remove the batterys you should have a blue "chip" or card it the back of your phone and you should see a slot in your aunt's phone put the care in there put it back together and thats all you have to do you dont have to take it to At&t at all. You would only have to take it in if you had a non-sim based service (like sprint)

it wont cost anything unless your trading you LG for one just like it would cost $50 if your insured, or if you havnt had your LG for 30 days then they will give you something totaly different (for what your LG cost you) for free

    good luck
