my grandparents have two fridges and a freezer and i was just wondering if they could dramatically reduce their pge bill by getting rid of one of the fridges or if it would even make that big a difference since they have a late model. late models are said to be more energy efficient.

  1. Of course, everything that uses energy affects the environment. And yes, they could save a lot by using only one fridge.

  2. Of course it'll be cheaper to have fewer things plugged in. If the appliances have an energy rating sticker, which they should if they're recent models, see how much electricity it says they use. It'll say it in kwh which is kilowatt hours. Then you find out what the power company charges per kwh, it's on the bill, and you'll have a good idea how much it costs to run the fridge. I have trouble imagining why two people need two fridges. I hope their power never goes out or they'll throw away a lot of food.
