Does it cut my carbon footprint when I delete emails from my box?

I don't think it would cut "yours" but if everyone used less space for email, then the servers where the emails are actually kept (hotmail, yahoo, isp) would be able to stop adding space available for storage.  So if everyone did this, I think that in time it would help a bit.
