  1. No.  Just don't turn your engine off.  With the engine not running, you lose the ability to lubricate the tranny.  You will also lose your power steering, power brakes, etc.

  4. no but it dont said safe on the freeway or on the roads i mean if you are at a stop light to save on gas but i wouldnt do it on a road way because it is a possiablity you might go to reverse instead

    Secondly, in neutral you lose control of your vehicle, becoming a danger to yourself and other road users.

    Thirdly, it is illegal.
