  1. I live in Greece - where the crazy people are harmless -it's the people higher up that can ruin your life - and yes I agree Bush is one of the craziest and most dangerous men on this planet

  2. Another person who has just snapped. I blame the current condition in the US. This won't be the last crazy thing you will hear. Something needs to change and fast!

  3. that story will give me nightmares. it is the creepiest thing i have ever heard.

i actually did a cross-country trip with my friend a couple of years ago, we took greyhound buses to major cities across the country from Toronto to Prince George. and i remember telling her how scared i was when we got to the prairies. anyone can get on the bus, there is no security and you drive for hours through fields, with nothing around you. this whole story is like my worst nightmare come true. i wish we had the death penalty for this guy. and i really hope the story isn't censored like the Bernardo fiasco was.

  4. yeh bush is one of em

  5. Musicmom, the incident took place in Canada, not the U.S.  I don't really see how the U.S.'s current state could have influenced this.  Canadian government would have the same amount of blame.  However, the causes are most likely personal/psychological/drug abuse/brain tumour/meningitis/other diseases, not a direct fault of the Canadian government's.  Although, indeed, you could say that the government is loosely at fault for the present state Canada is in.

And, yes, it does disturb me.

  6. Not really. There are crazies everywhere. Look at the ones that we

    have leading our country.

  7. No, but I have been studying true crime, war, and the nature of human evil since I was 13. Attacks like this are pretty rare, most people will go their entire lives without witnessing one. Your chances of being a victim of the random attack of  a madman are basically zero, you're more likely to be struck by lightning. This was just a nut who snapped, maybe under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It's even possible this was brought on by meningitis, brain tumour, or some other physical illness and the killer is not even culpable for his actions.

So no, not bothered. There are FAR MORE disturbing criminals and crime out there, some of them bother me.

  8. It is disturbing. I listened to the "World At Six" tonight to get more details after reading a brief story in the Edmonton Sun web edition. I do have one question and I don't want to seem unkind or uncaring in asking it.

As I understand things, there are fire extinguishers on board these buses. Now I realize this madman had a machete and was engaged in stabbing and beheading his victim. But, why didn't someone use the fire extinguisher to blind this guy and then club him with the extinguisher to bring him down?

  9. ITS SICK AND SCARY....

I TAKE THAT BUS TO WPG ALOT TO VISIT FAMILY AND FRIENDS... I DONT THINK I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO TAKE THE BUS AGAIN...

I WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE THE BUS NEXT WEEK TO WPG BUT h***s TO THAT..I'M NOW TAKING THE CAR!!

  10. of course it does, I trveled greyhound once in my life, and was equally scared of the drivers, as well as the fellow passengers.

  11. Yeah, it is pretty disturbing. My dad told me about this and I was baffled. He had to be completely insane though because no one plans something like that. I don't think many sane people decide to hop on a bus and decapitate someone just for sh*ts and giggles.

  12. Yes, it does.

  13. Yes.  It also reinforces my conviction that the death penalty should be an option as society loses its lose grasp on civilized behavior.

  14. yeah I read about that earlier today. Crazy...

  15. There was an article about a man who stabbed someone around 19 years of age on a Grehound Bus according to Yahoo News.
