  1. Sometimes they are, but rich people can be nice too

  2. yes ofcourse.. Rich people show their hospitality for the sake of publicity and they will not show their generosity to the needs of the society.

  3. oh yeah, [=

selfishness drowned the rich people, and it's for their sake..

  4. To stay rich they have to put hanging on to their money above all else, that's one of the reasons many religions preach that simplicity is a virtue and that pursuit of material gain beyond your actual needs is a hindrance to your spiritual well being.

  5. I'll play the devil's advocate here .. and actually defend the Rich  ( FOR A MOMENT AT LEAST) .. I am sure that many of those who are rich are approached more often that any of us would realise for hand-outs.. and I am sure that many would gladly help some others when they thought it was suitable and would do so without the rest of us knowing. They would also be very suspicious of some of the people who approach them .....

BUT  in regards to the poor people who are more generous.. It stems from their understanding of what it is like to be in need or require help. AND perhaps they have had the assistance of others at various times and then when they are able are more keen to be able to *pay-it forward* to help others.

We have struggled in times past ..and while closer to being paupers than being Bill Gates... now I am able to help out others WHEN i can. A work mate as a friend who is really struggling at the moment...  I don't know the friend.. but I bought her a few bags of groceries and my only request was that when she is in the position to  .. to do the same for somebody else she comes across that needs help....

It is also small scale socialism .. ( like it or not) .. where people DO still care.. and will not stand by to see others suffer when they have enough to share

  6. Yes, because they know what is like to be without.

  7. Yes...I think people who are poor can empathize with others who have less because they know how it feels to be without of things they need such as food water and a place to live. People who are rich want to stay rich and feel no burden when it comes to paasing up the poor unless they can look good doing it. Prime example Mtv's Sweet 16.
