to the arguments between global warming supporters and deniers? And to a greater extent, the topic of global warming period?

Where are the intelligent questions about the whole slew of other environmental issues, from water conservation to eco-villages?

  1. I can relate. I just answered a global warming question and basically said that much of what we can do, we have heard of or read about already.

Here in the Philippines where I live (and I'm pretty sure around the world and not just in the Third World), many environmental issues remain unaddressed. To name a few: waste management in many urban areas is a joke; policy-making to support and manage risk in disaster prone areas is weak at best; indigenous people are being pushed upland (higher risk: erosion, etc.) by the expansion of urban infrastructure.

Nobody seems interested in the why's and how's of these other issues. Perhaps the global warming issue is hot (no pun intended) right now because of the coming polls?

  2. u are so right!  the majority of the time its the same dam question like is global warming real? or is it a scam? there are sooo many questions like this and people are still asking when they can just type global warming in the Search for Questions box and will find tons of questions from before on it and also the answers.  so yea i agree with u that we need more distribution of attention to all areas of environmental issues.

  3. yeah joe a good point

The same arguments and the same questions are being repeated over and over again .

it is only you, belladonna and patz and a few others who are making me WORK at answering Questions on environment related issues other than global warming .

It s becoming a holiday because the global warming stuff i tend to leave by the way side .

Having said what i can contribute to this issue too many times already.which is man made climate changes.

    note

Staara check joe`s questions he has done just that

  4. Why don't you ask a different question about other environmental issues?

  6. Yeah, I basically skip those repeat global warming questions. I usually ask about green living and  conservation.

why don't you answer my question about waste-free lunches?

    here it is: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  7. Kewl. Yes I totally agree. There are so many other environmental issues that questions need to be asked about and answered.

    Another Great Question!

  8. s we should be careful and take measures reduce pollution.

  9. Yeah, the question "does global warming exist?" in all it's forms is asked over and over, by people who have probably heard compelling arguements for years but are still unsure because they saw some website that says global warming is dumb. I say there is little arguement against manmade climate impact, be it warming or cooling; the only argument is whether it's going to be cataclysmic or not.

  10. I wouldn't mind so much space being devoted to global warming if the tenure of the questions improved as awareness increased.  Talk about recycling!  The same questions over and over, the same or similar answers.

So yeah, it's frustrating, but then I see you and others posting questions that make me think and dig.  Those provide the most reward.

A worthy challenge, and I think a lot of us want to help you out there.  Time and energy is a problem for me sometimes.  I come home and almost can't think I'm so tired.  Getting on the computer and logging onto Yahoo helps clear my brain, most days.

    Anyway, hang in there.
