I'm having two teeth out today and they are baby teeth. One is loose and unfortunately the other one isn't. I'm not very good with painful things and I think it will hurt. Can someone please give me the best answer they can? Thank You

  1. With my experience the dentist puts on a numbing cream before they do anything. The cream usually tastes pretty good like mint or fruit and then from that point your body absorbs the cream and your gums are numb. No pain at all and that was for a cavity.

  2. Some dentists apply a layer on your gum and then they poke a thin needle in your gum. They hold the needle inside for about 10 seconds and then remove it. Please go to an experienced dentists as he or she will apply the gum (layer) and then start the needle business and will be patient in his or her work. New dentists will not consider this fact. I am telling all this as I really have experienced this a month ago. The first prick will pain, but when the dentist removes the needle, you won't get as much hurt. Its really not a big deal. It hurts very little. Have you got a vaccination? Have you experienced the prick in a vaccination? You will experience the same prick, but only in your gum. I tell you, it doesn't hurt much. Its just like a small pinch. If the gum is applied, you will feel really very  little pain. Close your eyes and think about the happy moments you have experienced in your life. It really is not a big deal. After the injection, if the dentist touches your gum, you won't be able to determine where he or she has placed his or her finger but you will feel a touch, a very rough touch. That's it.

I have written all this as I have experienced it a month ago. This answer is the best to my knowledge.

    Have a good day!

  3. kk i have bad teeth and no it dossent hurt they put a bit of freeze on b4 it gets numbed with the needle i get them all the time kinda feels cool almost like someone is pinching them

  4. Youre suppose to be 13  to be Yahoo Answers.....IF youre having baby teeth out at 13  ( ahem).  It does hurt just a bit, but it depends where the shot is.

Baby teeth dont have deep roots so are simple to take out

They put a numbing gel on your gums with a Q tip..before numbing them

  5. Depends on how long it takes to hit the nerves, mine was a pinch and a little tingly sensation, but no pain - and i'm a wuss when it comes to pain.

  6. Ive had teeth pulled and also had my wisdom teeth out. You have nothing to worry about. Ask them first if they can use a local anesthetic, which is something they could rub on the outside without using a needle. If they don't have any of that, no worries anyway, the needle really only feels like a second long pinch, and afterwards the numb feeling is actually kind of enjoyable lol.

  7. Uhm, initially, it'll hurt because they'll poke you with a needle. But after that, your gum will be so numb that all you'll feel is pressure and no pain. C:

  8. There's a slight pinch (the needle going in)  followed by a dull burn (the injection), then, very quickly, numbness. It's no big deal.

  9. Nah, just a slight prick in the back of your gums at first, then you feel nothing, it's a really weird feeling having numb gums, and you punch that side of your face and feel nothing, such a weird feeling. Any-who if you want my opinion, the worst part about getting your gums numbed is the sort of gel stuff they put in your mouth. It tastes horrible! But you've nothing to worry about when it comes to the needle.

  10. It might hurt a little, because you are getting an injection, but shouldn't hurt too bad. Just be aware that it will taste pretty bad after you get the injection.

  11. No , It's just a sharp , fast pinch , when they give you the shot , then your numb , so you don't feel anything .

  12. If they use the pink stuff on the cue tip, then you won't even feel the pinch everyone is talking about, I just recently had work done on my Eye Teeth and they put the pink stuff on my gums and wiped it over the working area, and I didn't even feel when they used the actual Novacain, good times. :D

  13. Nope. Its just a little pressure when they poke then you don't feel anything else after that. Though i can't promise it will feel good after wards! you will feel some slight discomfort and numbness as well as the occasional splash of spit from the side of your mouth.

  14. its a needle going into your gums. i cried up until recently. now i only wimper lol. 19 btw. i have wisdom teeth coming in and im afraid if they have to be taken out.

  15. Ive had a few teeth out and other dental procedures.  The numbing stuff stings a little bit when it goes in, nothing to bad and its worth it because the nerve pain in your teeth as they pulled them if you didnt have it would be way worse!

    Good Luck  :)
