  1. The admissions offices will only look at the test score you submit to them.  If you score worse on the second test, you don't have to submit that score.  You can take the test as many times as you want.  Just submit the test with the highest score.

  2. like h**l

  3. take it as many times as you want and submit the best score on your college application...will not hurt you one bit.

  4. thankfully it doesnt matter you can retake the ACT as many times as you want you can chosose to "hide: your scores meaning you only send schools the ones you want

however other tests such as the SAT u must show all your scores

dont worry im sure you can raise your score :) just buy one of thiose review books at borders theyre life savers

  5. it does not hurt to retake the ACT

  6. They only take your highest score

    Are you a junior?

Because when you become a senior you would have taken some of the important classes and would have a better grasp of the material.

Take it again...18 isn't so hot...try to get a 21. That's when you can get some decent scholarships

    good luck!

  7. Well unlike the SAT, the ACT lets you choose which score you send, instead of sending all of them, so take it again, and if you score higher, just send that score

  8. Only your highest score counts. I recommend that you do retake it especially if you SAT score is below par as well, it can make a big difference.

  9. You mean you didn't bomb the first one?

  10. Your highest score counts.

  11. Luckily for you, schools take the highest score. Just don't initially record that your scores go to a college(s) that you really want to get into, just in case you don't fare well. Choose collleges that you really don't care about but might consider should they accept you. You can always pay $4 or $8 bucks to have it sent to a particular school of your choice later should you do well. This way you are in control of your score and can decide which score you are going to submit to them. An 18 is less than average, keep taking it until you are happy with your score. It only hurts...in the since they may or will take all scores you submitted to them into consideration depending on the school. It may make them wonder if you have what it takes to compete on campus. So stay in control, and play the game by withholding a score from a particular school you're really interested in until you have your desire score.  Good luck!

  12. No it does not hurt to take it more than one time.  I took it three times and I got a 21, 20, then 25.  So even though my score went down the second time the collages will concider 25 as what I got on the ACT!
