I'm 15 and for my 16th golden birthday I want to get my navel pierced. I have my ear lobes pierced twice the first time when I was 5 months which are still recently pierced, and the second holes for each year when I was twelve. On the same day when I got the double I got my cartalidge pierced. It did not hurt at all. I have a high or low pain tolerance. i dont know whichever one means that things don't hurt a lot for me. I have a little sister who hurts me all the time. so hard to where I bleed from a pinch. But it don't even hurt. Anyways. which one hurts worse? I really want my navel pierced! My aunt does professional ears. Would she be able to do professional bellybutton? or could I do my bellybutton by myself with an earring// needle and then put the earring in itself? sometimes when im relaxed I wanna do it myself so I think htose would lbe good times. haahha. anyways answer this question :) If you want leave a link to one of your questions and I will see if I can help you :)

  1. getting your navel pierced is nothing like getting your cartilage pierced. Everyone as different pain tolerance some say it hurts a lot, some say it hurts a little like a bee sting and some say it don't hurt at all, and some get after pain like period cramps, redness, soreness and some do bleed. and then again some don't just depends on your body really.

all piercings hurt no matter what you get pierced. i had my navel pierced and left cartilage and right top ear (the highest part of cartilage only body piercers will do), and honestly they are all a 0 for me. my navel never got red, no soreness, no after pain and no blood. it healed up nicely and i had almost 2 yrs now.  I never felt the lady piercing my navel, i never felt the curved bar bell going through my skin and putting the balls on i never felt anything and No i wasn't rumbed either. they don't do that anyway and thats the sissy way in getting a piercing anyway if you can't take the pain then you shouldn't get one....

if you do it your self it might end up crooked, infected, and rejection.

he level of pain depends largely on the location of the piercing. The most common piercing is still the fleshy part of the lower ear lobe. This piercing is only momentarily painful, and most people find it quite bearable. The pain is not very severe because the piercing only goes through flesh. Piercings that go through cartilage are more painful. Therefore, piercing the top part of the ear, which is comprised of flesh and cartilage, is more painful than piercing the fleshy, bottom part of the ear. The tongue, which is a muscle, is also a painful part of the body to have pierced. Some piercings are more painful because they are done in sensitive areas. For example, nipple and genital piercings can be very painful because those areas are very sensitive.

The pain of the actual piercing, no matter what kind of piercing it is, is very brief. However, piercings may cause continuous irritation if they are constantly rubbing against the skin. Piercings done in sensitive areas can prove especially problematic. Also, piercings that are likely to rub against or be pulled by clothing, such as belly button piercings, can be painful to some people. If a piercing catches on clothes and is ripped out, it will be very painful and the hole will no longer be of any use. Studs and less likely to catch on things than rings are; people who decide to wear rings should be very careful not to allow their rings to catch on anything.

Further pain will occur if the piercing becomes infected. Certain piercings, such as tongue piercings, are harder to care for than others and may be more prone to infection. In order to avoid infection, people should make sure that they have their piercing performed by a professional. Additionally, people need to follow all care instructions, especially cleaning procedures.

All piercings are painful to some extent. Piercings performed on fleshy areas like the lower ear lobe or the eye brow are not considered too painful by most people. Piercing performed on muscles, cartilage, or sensitive areas are more painful. Piercings that become infected are even more painful, and the pain of infection lasts much longer than the brief pain of the actual piercing. Everybody's pain tolerance is different, and people who know that they have a low pain tolerance might not want to get some of the more painful piercings. In any case, the piercing should be properly cared for to reduce the risk of complications.

  2. I also have a high pain tolerance (nothing hurts much) lol.  Cartilage was worse for me.  Didn't hurt to get it, but seemed to take so long to heal.  Of course, I got three more anyway.  Belly button was so easy it was ridiculous.  Even easier - eyebrow.  That was like it never happened after a day or so.  Doing it yourself probably would be good times...:), but don't recommend it.  Too much room for error, and it's real easy to get infections near belly button.  Don't worry, good times to be had getting it professionally, too.  Don't go to Aunt of Ears, though.  Go to a body piercing professional.  More fun, darker, and might see more stuff you like there.

  3. my belly button definatley hurt worse than my cartilage, it was probably about a 6 out of 10, but on the plus side its over really quick.  the pain depends on your body, the skinnier you are the more it will hurt.

  4. For me: cartilage for sure! Ik have 7 piercings, excluding the ears, and I have to sat my ears hurt the most.

My belly button I didn't even feel. I thought he was still pushing, while he was already through.

I had my upper ear pierced when I was about 15 and it still hurts when I put something in, now that I'm 25.

  5. cartalidge is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse.  Belly button is sooooo easy!  Get it done profesionally though or else you will most likely get a nasty infection.

  6. I just got my belly done yesterday :)) & i got my cartilage done about a year ago. For me, the belly button hurt less that the cartilage. It felt like a pinch but better. & even after it didnt hurt that much like not enough to have to take painkillers or anything & today it doesnt hurt one bit!! ANd for the cartilage it hurt a lot for a few days. Surprisingly the belly might even hurt less than getting a standard ear lobe piercing! But some people its different because my friend said it hurt really bad. The worst part was before the piercing, waiting nervously to see if it hurt or not. I DEFINITELY recommend it. Just deep breathing like in through nose, out through the mouth helps too.

& dont even think about doing your belly by yourself. NO. You have to go to a professional or you will end up getting it infected.

  7. I had my belly button done about ten years ago and I had my tragus done last week. Personally I felt my belly button was slightly worse, but saying that it's over so quickly it's really not a big deal! I think people get so nervous b4 a piercing they always think it'll be worse than it really is. Just remember, after a matter of minutes you'll have a pretty new belly button and it will have been so worth it. As long as you're100% about having it done, go for it!
