  1. Death isn't a common side effect of tattoos, lol. If the artist thought that was a possibility they wouldn't do it.

However, it is important to check up on the reputation of the parlor. Reused needles can give you many unpleasant diseases, like aids.

It will feel like a buzzed scratching at first. After a while it's going to hurt because it feels likes they're scratching your skin raw; but it isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Once they start, I swear you'll think, "That's it?".

If you need to, you can ask to take a break, and it's nothing to be embarrassed about. They understand that some people have different tolerances.

Good luck, it's well worth the pain.

  2. yes the needle will hurt. especially when passing over the veins on your wrist.

  3. 1.They're punched in with needles.

2.The hand is one of the most sensitive parts of the body.

3.Don't even think about tattooing over the veins in

    your wrist.

  4. Yes to the finger for sure, I have one and I would discourage you from getting one there, mine is only 2 years old, it is a very simple design but it doesn't look like it used to already not to mention the area around mine on my finger looks bruised all the time, I'm not sure if some ink spread or the vein was hit or exactly why but it looks terrible. The tattoo artist warned that the hand area is not ideal because your skin is constantly renewing there as well as sun exposure, which in case you didn't know is not good for tattoos. I am not an expert or anything but I have yet to see a finger tattoo that looks 'good' after even a couple of years.

  5. Well, as anyone would tell you, getting ink anywhere will, unfortunately, hurt to some extent, and the feeling is different for each person. The hands a lot of nerve endings, but most of them are directed near the tips of the fingers. However, I would say the pain will be much less severe then a spot on the chest, neck, or underarm-abdominal.

No, you can't die from getting inked. The ink is trapped between your dermis and epidermis, far away from your veins and arteries. There have been no deaths attributed DIRECTLY to the act of tattooing.

Also, be careful with anything below the wrist. Though times are changing, and policies are getting looser, some companies will still not hire you for a visible tattoo. Some places have loosened up, and are now only really targeting "offensive" or distracting ink, and designs and whatnot are alright.

But go for it, and enjoy the ink!
