  1. No, just a little pressure when they pluck the brackets off.  They will then scrape and clean any remaining epoxy on your teeth, that won't be bad as there will be minimal epoxy left.  They should then clean and polish next.

    Once this is done, they will take impressions of your mouth.  One for their records so they can use the plaster models on the "before and after" shelf.  The other will be to make a retainer for your mouth (it may take up to 2 weeks to get your retainer.)  You will be given a temporary retainer to go home in.

    No pain.  You are going to be so excited.
