  1. No, it doesn't hurt as the operating room people will have you "out" during the operation.  You will have a sore throat after waking up, don't clear your throat unless you really have to and you get to eat all the  ice cream you want!

Yes, have them removed or they'll continually trouble you and have the potential to make you sicker.

Chances are you won't lose weight.

Again eat all the ice cream you want.  Your throat will slowly improve and you're the best judge when to start eating more solid foods but don't rush it.  Your doctor will probably have more specific instructions about eating.

This operation is very common, you'll do just fine and be better off on having it done.

  2. pros:

    you can breath better

and it just makes you feel better

    cons:

when you get out of the operation you have this burnt taste and it hurts

you have to take blood and stuffs

  3. No way!

I actually had my tonsils AND my adenoids(?) removed and it didn't hurt.

In addition I apparently had a coughing fit while I was under, but I still had no pain.

They say just not to yell and to keep your mouth hydrated.

However I'm sorry to inform you that you won't lose weight...

    I stopped snoring...

They gave me pop sickles as soon as I got out, then later you probably shouldn't eat solid foods for a while. Think pudding.

    Hope it helps.
