  1. NOPE! You will have soooooo much burning sensation going on at the time that you wont even notice it!

  2. No because the pain of labor is far to intense to feel any other pain and if you opt for an epidural (i would never labor without 1) then no because your numb from the waist down.

  3. Nope... but you'll feel it the next day! Just get a spray bottle so you don't have to wipe after you pee and use dermablast spray after every time you go.

  4. well to be honest i was in so much pain with contractions i didn't even know that the doctor cut me until after the baby was born so i would say no from my experience. didn't feel anything

  5. I tell you what... I heard it when the doctor cut me!  My bf told me I had 38 stiches?  It was such an awful sound and really freaked me out.  But otherwise I didn't feel it till later because they inject you so you're numb first.

  6. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and this is my first but i asked my sister and she said  compared to the pain of contractions the cut feels like nothing.

    Good Luck : )

  7. Yes.  Also, it heals better and faster and with less pain if you just let it tear.  Chances are you won't tear anyway; bodies are amazing - during labor certain hormones are released that let you stretch beyond belief.  Unless you are afraid and tensing up quite a bit, then you should not need an episiotomy.  Just relax and let your body do the work.  Good luck!

Also, you should know that some women have pain-free labors without any drugs at all.  The more relaxed and at-ease you are, the less it will hurt and the better off your baby will be.

  8. if you have an epidural then no but if you dont, you will feel extreme burning

  9. At that point in delivery you either can't feel it down there because of the epidural or the contraction pain is constant/intense that you don't notice it. Your doc should do all things possible to avoid cutting or ripping. discussing it beforehand helps too,if you want to be cut or told that you are or not told. good luck!

  10. If you have an epidural then you won't feel anything. So don't worry about anything. I just had my baby 2 weeks ago and it was my first. I was so scared but in the end it wasn't that bad. I had to have a c-section because my baby's heart rate was going up and down but my baby was born heath and hes just a bundle of joy to be around. So I'm sure everything will be ok for you.

    i hope this helps

    congrats on the new baby

  11. usually when they do an episiostomy they numb the area, but when i had my last an old cut ripped again and it felt like a tingling sensation.
