Does it hurt when the orthadontists tighten your teeth?

I never wore braces, but one of my friends used to have it and he said that it only hurt a little bit when they tighten it.

not that painful  just makes for eating a little more difficult

usually lasts for 2 days so just eat soft foods for those days.

Yes, but it is not intensely painful and usually only lasts for about a day or 2.

i've had braces for a year and are getting them off soon. It doesn't hurt when they actually tighten it but it is a bit uncomfortable afterwards. It hurts more towards the start of having braces but you really get used to it! sometimes because they are moving your two front teeth touch before your molars and it makes it hard to eat so i would seriously suggest you eat something soft for lunch/diner! i hope this helps!
