Does it hurt when you get braces?

does it hurt when the dentist is putting it on you? cause im scared to death right now. PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!!!! =[

No, the only discomfort you might feel is the spacers that are placed on your molars about a week before you get you braces on.  The braces themselves are just glued on your teeth.  It is easy!!

depends on your pain threshold getting them put on doesn't hurt a bit but after they ache and you cant eat hard things its the same when you get them tightened like an aching pain and the wires on them cut your cheeks which is painful Xx

It doesn't hurt when they put them on at all, they just clean your teeth and then glue them on.

After they get put on it hurts. it depends on how crooked your teeth are. My werent that bad, but the first few days of having them on they F**king killed!!! I couldnt even touch them. but everyone is different and that the only time they really hurt. when you go for your visits and have them adjusted there will be some discomfort. This is all stuff that you should be able to handle though!

No it didn't really hurt much when I got mine. The worst part was later on if they jab into your cheeks, theres wax you can put on the braces to fix that though.

Nope not at all. The things they put between ur teeth before braces hurt the most. And the 1st week ur teeth are a bit sensitive.

well, a little while after you get the braces, like maybe the day after, for about a week it hurts bad. but when you get them on, it doesnt hurt. unless you are sensitive to drilling sounds, then you have nothing to worry about, :)
