  1. there's one thing that's always bothered me.

we call them "Suits" in toronto, or i guess the GTA.

people who get the best tickets in the house from their work, and they come dressed in suits and leave before the game is done because they want to beat traffic.

    "Great game eh?"

"yeah, did you see Mats Sundin with that Slam Dunk?"

    "wait.. who won again?"

    Suits..

    Hate em.

  2. Chretien was a fan of the Mumblers and Mulroney had season tickets to the Oh Boys!

That being said should Bill Clinton have been given a seat where he could "not" inhale?

  3. I find it irritate when politicians from any country appear at any sport pretending to be a fan.

Rudy G and Hilliary pretended to be Yankees fans!!!

  4. I hate it when anyone pretends to even think they're a fan or know hockey! I agree Harper just pretends he's a Leafs fan -"He is an avid fan of ice hockey and of the Calgary Flames, although on a October 4, 2006 Toronto Maple Leafs game, cameras had caught him raising his arms after a Toronto goal which raised questions by hockey fans."(Wikipedia).

  5. If your talking about harper he always went to the games. And politicians are people too (just they lie and stab your back more than others) They like to enjoy a nice game once in a while. And I left before the game once when they were losing 4-1 5 min early i missed Antropov score one and I still got caught in the parking lot for an hour.

  6. there not pretending every one have right to watch hockey even politicians. we as Canadians growing up playing the game when they become politicians how come they suddenly get striped of  pride of hockey? Politicians of Canada should still be able to watch hockey. as i said we all grow up playing this game  and why you say pretending? maybe he does like the sport.

  7. dude what are you talking about?

  8. It irritates me when ANYONE appears at a game pretending to be a fan.

Chris mentioned the "suits". And I have to agree on that. I went to the ACC back in Feb. and it was full of them. When we were walking out some men in front of us were wearing buisness suits, and they were talking about their dinner meeting last night or something and then the one starts to ask "Wait did the Leafs win? What was the final score?"

I also hate it when tv announcers who know nothing about the sport try and pretend. One of the big Pittsburgh local news stations in KDKA and they are THE BIGGEST GROUP OF POSERS. Once this old lady announcer was pretending to be a fan and was trying to start a Penguin chant outside the arena with some fans but she kept chanting like "Let's Go Pen-guins" And it's "Let's Go Pens".

  9. The couple that has tickets next to mine at the ACC once gave or sold them to a guy who was a ventriloquist.  The guy brought his dummy which occupied one of the seats.   That irritated me and weirded me out more than anything I've ever seen at a Leafs game.

  10. Actually, Harper has always been a big fan, so I have no problem with seeing him there.

  11. What's your problem. I'm a hockey fan....might be a politician one day. You don't want me attending my favorite sport?
