no!! I have a do-not-disturb button on my mainbase-phone....I just push it every night!

but I do have a cell-phone at my bed-site for family only emergency!

It doesn't irritate me, but it SCARES me.

If I answer and nobody replies, than it scares me as I don't know who is pulling the prank.

If I answer and there is somebody on the other line, than it is often an emergency or something bad has happened.

Yes it certainly does, but only once because then the plug gets pulled.

No - that's what answering facilities are for - be they in the form of an answering machine or the exchange recording the call till you're ready to take it.

not a problem with me, my home phones allow me to set a window that the phone will not ring but sends the call directly to voice mail.

Now, that depends on whether or not I am awake, since I'm a night owl.  Whenever it does ring my stomach quivers.  My mom is 87 years old and I always think something might be wrong.  If it's BS I cuss them out, usually and remind them that it's too late for phine calls, even if I was awake at four in the morning.  They should not have called, regardless.
