  1. Yes it looks bad, and money-grubbing. If your fiance doesn't dance and won't for the dollar dance then you just shouldn't do it.

Monkey: the dollar dance is where everyone who wants to pays the bride or groom a dollar to dance with them for a few moments

  2. I thought the bride was the only one who was to dance for the dollar dance.

  3. Well, he should LEARN to dance or get over it and dance with his wife at their wedding.  Take some lessons or something.  If you are the only one doing the dance, it's your wedding so you can do what you want.  Personally, I think the money dance is tacky and did not have one at my wedding.

  4. is this that like the UKs first dance?  My partner doesnt dance either, but we have agreed to have a first dance because its out big day.  Some people dont have a first dance, but I think it should be either both of you dancing or none.  Shame if its none like!  but thats just my humble opinion. :)

EDIT: thanks Nikki,  now I know what it is, I would still say either both of you should do it or none of you.

  5. It's more of a shuffle than a dance... he could do it if he wasn't too shy about it.

But if you want, you could have someone tag in to dance for the groom.  Perhaps his dad, your dad, or a member of the groomsmen that is well liked.  Just have your hubby-to-be collecting the dollars for the guy... so that people get a chance to chat with him while they wait.

That's what they really want to do, anyway!

    Have fun!

  6. Yes, it would look bad.  You could pick a song that's really slow...all he'd have to do is sway back and forth.  If he absolutely refuses to do that, then don't do the dollar dance.

Is he going to dance with you for the first dance? If so, and he just won't do the dollar dance, I'd definitely not do it.  It would look like he doesn't approve of it but you're doing it anyway.

  7. In my personal opinion, it flat out looks bad when BOTH participate in the dollar dance.  It's asking for money at its finest!
