Does it make any difference about the best buy date on soy cheese?

will it still be edible and good or no, cause a sites selling it for 99cents something that was 8.99 now 99cents cause its experation date is june the 23rd. is it okay to have or no?

  1. This depends...many grocery stores discount products as they approach the "best before" or "expiry dates". As long as the date has not past you should be fine.....however...some less reputable stores may have items that were not refrigerated properly and may spoil early and that is why they may have discounted it......so it's buyer beware...tofu is pretty easy to see if it is fresh....as long as the liquid in the package is clear and teh tofu seems firm and not sticky in the pack it should be fine


  2. Soybeans ferment and that can make you really sick. I would not risk it.
