Question:

Does it make sense that hairier people come from hotter climates?

In general, the men with the most body hair tend to come from the Middle East, South America, and South India, all generally hot places. In Europe the people with the most hair development are, again the Southern European types, while the Northern Europeans from the colder climates seem to have not so much body hair.

Doesn't make sense to me, there clearly is a link between hot climate and body hair as far as I can see, but logically, shouldn't men from colder climates have more body hair?

  1. That's not completely true. I have Latin and Indian friends that are not hairy at all. Also, a lot Asians aren't hairy, and CHina is hella hot. So yeah. Idk.

  2. Hm East Asians don't have a lot of hair, even if they live in jungle climates like vietnam or thailand and I would say the same about  people from african countries too. Most "hairy" guys seem to be of larger build and have darker hair, as well as curly hair so it really varies across the different types of people, not just to one area or location.

  3. to cool them off

  4. One way to think about it, is that men living close to the Equator, don't wear much clothing, and the clothes that they do wear are usually light-fitting!

Men in the northernmost climates, have worn heavy clothes, almost continuously, day & night, for their entire lives, which eventually tells the hair gene, don't grow here!

    Make sense?
