Chicago Fire playmaker Cuauhtemoc Blanco has been, well, en fuego lately, and the 35-year-old's play has earned him a recall to the Mexican national team. El Tri is set to take on Honduras next week at Azteca Stadium as both teams open group play in 2010 World Cup qualifying.

The former Club America star, Blanco, has not been a part of the Mexican program since last summer's Gold Cup and Copa America. But Eriksson has brought in the veteran, who has 34 goals in 97 caps, mainly due to his scintillating form of late in MLS.. He has four goals and six assists in 18 appearances for Chicago so far this season. Blanco is expected to start next to Dos Santos.

Not to degrade the MLS, but the team he play's in, isnt exactly that great, thats why he appears so great. Its good that we have a veteran sharing some experience, but im not so sure we "really" needed him. The team already has a lot of skill, but its a good addition to the squad, nevertheless.

i never liked blanco when he was with america.

but when he went to the mls i started watching him and the mls more,

Yes I am. The only reason hes in the MLS is cause hes retiring. The MLS is the retirement league for worn out Mexican Players. And no that is not a offensive or an opinion, that is actually a fact Dynamo.
