It depends where you end up really, but imagine always being there. Forever.

I don't think about it much, but when I do, it's kind of freaky. Not in a bad way, but it is.

What do you think

  1. not at all......

  2. Honestly yes.  I try to do good in the name of God, but I know that, like every other human being, I make mistakes.  I just don't want to do something that will send me to h**l for eternity.  I want to do good for God and try to get to Heaven.  I think about it sometimes, too.

  3. Yeh its a scary moment when u think of it. It makes you fear what your doing. It makes you think twice what your going to do.

It does make me nervous and it puts fear in my heart.

    Peace

  4. yes definately. somtime i think about the infinity of it all and i feel overwhelemed. as humans, we dont really know much about infinity but the thought of the afterlife (especially if u go to h**l [god forbid]) is soooooo scary. it makes me so nervous. even if u end up in heaven (insha'allah)...it still gives me the goosebumps just thinking about how never ending its going to be. like NEVER any escape..omg...!

  5. Assalamu Alaikum, My dear Sister in Islam

Allah says in Quran over and over that righteous Muslims who always do good and never bad, they do not need to have fear or any kind of worries.  Hopelessness in Allah  is haram for righteous Muslimoon.

All those who will enter in Jannah will be joined with their spouses, parents, siblings and those who were close to them amongst the

righteous Muslims. For example please see what Allah says in the

    following Ayahs:

    سورة البينة

    Sura #98 | Madina  Ayah 7 & 8

    إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ

Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures.

Their reward is with Allah. Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher.

Notice that all the hopeless answers you have received are from

those who have no connection with God almighty-  our Allah Subhana

    Wa Taalah.

May Allah keep us guiding to the right path of Allah and forgive our sins with His Mercy  for our good deeds, for our Salats and for our

    Rukooh and Sujood.

  6. who says its forever, if indeed it exists at all, which i doubt

if god fearing people would attatch a bit more importance and reverance to thier current existence along with everyone else's then perhaps there would be a bit more love and respect in the world...and a bit less religious torture and killing of innocents by the god squad.

  7. I think there are few people who would not find an existence of 600 years or more to be tedious.

  8. Nup.. dont believe in one... you see the problem here?? You're stressing out too much about the afterlife and not thinking enough about the current one

  9. Assalaam-u-alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatahu wa magfiratu,

Dear Sister, this feeling of freakiness should help us to Introspect our deeds and to rectify the ill ones among them. But one should also have hopes from ALLAH ( SUBHAANAHU WA TA'ALAA) because IMAAN lies between HOPE FROM ALLAH and FEAR OF ALLAH.

  10. Look at it this way, you're trying to understand the concept of the afterlife from a human point of view.  And, as humans, we come to know that even after a while we would become bored of things which make us happy, unless we encountered new things that make us happier.

But, there is nothing to say that existence in the afterlife is temporal.  The concept of time may not exist there the way that it does here.  So there, we are in a state of perfect happiness, perfect contentment, and perfect peace, which doesn't need to be changing.  Remember, God can do anything, so it's understandable to believe that the afterlife will be infinite happiness for eternity.

  11. Well at first I thought that maybe the after life might get boring but then again God knows us better than anyone. I'm sure there's plenty to do.

  12. it doesnt exist, therefore it is not infinite

  13. i think about this from time to time. i think when you pass on, you live a new life, a life you always wanted to live. like a fantasy life i guess. everything in this new life is perfect, just the way you want it and it goes on forever so your happy forever. i dont believe in heaven or h**l because even if you've done wrong there is still good in you. and come on, everyone has done something terrible at least once in their lives. so yup, thats my input.

  14. According to God. you are reborn. Some people believe this when they visit some place where they have never been before, yet they feel they have been there before, or they know what is around the corner before they look.
