  1. That's a vast generalization. Not ALL Americans are out of touch and ignorant. I'm sick and tired of people judging my intelligence by my nationality. It's borderline racism.

We're not stupid. We know how to read maps. Pop culture doesn't define our country.

I've never eaten a BigMac, never ordered off the Dollar Menu, and I don't watch MTV.

I know where Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Eritrea are.

Just because there are some idiots (like in every single other country on this earth) doesn't mean the entire country is ignorant. Yes, we could loose the state of California and the average IQ would sky rocket... but the majority of people are well informed and can use logic to come to their own conclusions.

  2. Yes, it makes me sad that so many people in such a great country are raised to be ignorant of the rest of the world, to be taught to consume, consume, consume and hardly anything else!

  3. It makes me sad how socialist and totalitarian the U.S. has become in the last 100 years.  It makes me sad that most Americans view democracy as a chance to vote for what helps them personally instead of voting based on principle.  It makes me sad that our presidential administrations keep meddling in international affairs that they don't need to be involved in.  Thus creating more enemies for us and costing us billions.  The weak criminal justice system in the US makes me sad.  The large amount of local, state and federal taxes coming out of my income, property and sales tax makes me sad.

But I keep voting Libertarian and trying to bring out a smile.

  4. the first one

  5. Sorry to be the angel of doom, however i think what you speak of is almost a global phoenomena, and we only need look at the countless numbers of people starving, greedy wars, our belief of the media, racism, genderism, ageism, and i think i'll add no more as to perpetuate our already dire situation.

Take care and i wish you all the best.
