Does it matter WHEN you get saved?

Is there an age (or a time before your death) past which even if you take Jesus as your saviour, God will still send you to h**l?

Like a 30yo person who is already saved and another person who accept Jesus (saved) only when he turns 60?

  1. as long as it's before you die and before the second coming, it doesn't matter, at least as salvation goes. sooner is still better because you should live a life for God and the sooner you accept Him, the more time you have to commit. also, don't wait because you don't know when the end is and you don't know when your end might be.

  2. All chidren are saved. Make your decision: sooner the better after the age of accountability

  3. 1)Now we  go back to Calvin when is at that is fine (To a calviist moreso) The term "saved" bothers me

    2) to a wesleyan you must be repeatedly saved over and over because we sin over and over

Total depavity vs  free will is a secondary issue but  honesrly it is a difficult one  for me to answer

Where was i when God laid the foundatio of the  world? (Job something or other)

  4. Best before you die!  I think that God gives you opportunity, and if you turn Him down too many times, He may quit offering.  I don't know that there is any Biblical backing for that, but it's not a risk I would be willing to take.  My advice is the sooner the better.  Life is so much better with Jesus.  Less negative consequences as you learn to obey, and more peace, joy and all that.  Jesus takes care of us, He works everything for our good as we follow Him.  Why wait?  Do people enjoy suffering?  I sure don't.

  5. It does not matter at what age you get saved at.

However, when you reach the age of accountability (my understanding when we have the knowledge to distinctively tell right from wrong) if you are to die you are held accountable for not making the decision to accept Christ and go to h**l.

Jesus will save you at anytime, but once you die there is no going back.

As for your example, God would save the sixty year old man if he accepted the fact that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and asked him to come into his heart and save him.

Just as he would do the same for anyone else.

  6. No certain age, it is when one realizes, truly, good from evil, for then they are accountable before God.  It is written, seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon him while He is near.  Problem mosts do not realize is, you cannot be saved anytime you want to.  If you know you are lost and you began seeking the Lord, thru prayer, etc, then Christ will find you but it has to be one hundred percent sincere, God does not take second seat.

  7. It's never too late to get saved, but the sooner you do the better, because that means more time to enjoy Jesus and walk with Him. There's no greater thing in this world.

  8. Being saved is a process that will take the rest of your life...at least.

  9. No.

But please accept salvation before you die.

  10. The Holy Spirit says, "The time is NOW for Salvation."

  11. Just make sure you get saved right before you die. Until then, party like h**l.

  12. God placed no age limit on when someone can be saved. So from the time a person is old enough to understand the concept until they take their last breath, the opportunity is there.

But.. I wouldn't suggest putting it off so you can have 20 or 30 more years of "fun" before you commit because no one is guaranteed to live to a ripe old age of 60.  I think everyone knows someone who didn't live that long and since we never know when we might take our last breath there's no better time than now to have that serious heart to heart talk with God and seek His truth.

  13. do you think that is fair to the 60 yr old who has been living his life right that this chump comes along and wants to go to heaven now??
