Does it matter how tall you are to row?

I know that in rowing, the taller the better. But if your an average height, can you just gain a lot of muscle to help propel the boat?

I'm pretty much asking if there are any rowers who aren't really tall.

  2. Since most of your power comes from your legs, not your arms I think you could be effective. It depends on your seat or position in the boat as to the length of your oar and how long your stroke needs to be.

I think you can be a good rower if you have the endurance to complete the race regardless of your height.
