Does it matter if I have dial-up when I play an on-line contest?

I'm trying to play an on-line contest, the new old school or new from Mountain Dew, I'm collecting points and playing everyday and still haven't scored anything. Just wondering if dial-up service has anything to do with it?

Dial up should have nothing to do with it. There would be the same results (only loaded faster) with a high-speed connection
