  1. not really cuz at first i thought i waz regular so i got my binding like that but later i switched to goofy i can now do it both ways

It all depends on u and the board!

  2. To the guy above, there is no such thing as a goofy or regular board, it's all just how your bindings are set up.

Usually, it will make a difference as your board could have setback, and could be directional (most are and do) If you are riding a true twin board, it won't matter, but just flip your bindings  and apply the angles you want them to be at.

  3. well it does matter but the answer above is incorrect seeing as that you can change the angle of the bindings. the reason why it makes a difference is because the nose of the board is shaped differently than the tail. because of this, if you ride goofy on a regular board, its performance will suffer.

  4. Usually boards have a Nose and a Tail (Directional). They sometimes have different shapes or flex.

On a True Twin board, both tips are the same flex and shape, so it would not matter.

Some boards might also have setback. where both bindings are moved back alil bit. This makes it easier and more relaxing to ride in powder.  If your board is Directional, it is best if you switch them around to get all the advantages of the board. Switching bindings around is not a hard thing to do,and they can be very quick, so i would just switch it around.

  5. ya bc normaly the foot in front is pointed more to the front than the back. this can help u turn much better

  6. There is no such thing as a board that can only be goofy or only regular.  The most difference comes with twins, directionals, and stance set-up.  I'll answer your question, then go into a little detail about each.

You should change your bindings so that they are set goofy.  If it's not a twin, the feel will be really awkward.   If the stance is set back a bit for a regular footed rider, the front of your board which would be the back of your board for a regular rider will be shorter, and will feel weird when riding.  Also, the nose and tail could be shaped differently.  Nose could be different size, sidecut could be a little different, etc.  Also, it sometimes looks weird riding a board goofy when it was set up for a regular footed rider.

Also, if the bindings were set up by somebody who didn't experiment a lot with their angles or who didn't ride perfect duck (something like -15, 15), riding for you may be a little awkward.  Usually, boards are set up with the front foot at a little more of an angle to allow the rider to turn their body a little bit more to the front.  I think most rentals are set at like -12 in the front and 5 in the back,  If you were to take that and ride it goofy, your front foot would be angled less forward than your back, making it feel like you're being turned backwards by your bindings.

Twins are used for park mostly because of their balance.  The length from the nose and tail to the bindings are usually about the same when set up, so landing switch (opposite their normal stance) isn't really awkward.

Directionals have a different lengths from their nose to the front binding and the tail to their rear binding.  I can tell you riding it switch is possible, but turning takes more work, and is weirder.  Directionals are pretty much all-mountain boards.  Take it to the park, or down that double diamond.

Oh yea, having a set back stance helps floating in powder because it makes keeping the nose up easier.

    Hope I helped.

There are more differences, but these are the main things.

    Regulars Represent!

  7. yes because if prefer goofy you will be standing on the wrong side of the bindings. if you can and want to you can just ride regular.
