  1. yesss....prisoners should not have to endure the pain of rape.  i mean, their already prisoners, thats enough to deal with.

  2. OMG! Yes! I don't care what someone has done, they can be a child molester but rape is a horrible and cruel thing, and hasn't anyone remembered the old lesson "two wrongs DON'T make a right"?

  3. It does, and there should be something done about it...but, having worked in a penitentiary, it's also much easier said than done...  Rape is a crime of violence...NOT of passion...and is seen that way...

  4. It does if they're eventually turned loose on society.  Or if it's generally known on the outside that prisoners are allowed to be raped, so that miscreants are motivated to take desperate measures not to be caught, like killing any witnesses to what otherwise might be a non-violent crime.

  5. yes, I don't think anyone deserves this pain no matter what crime they have done.

  6. why wouldn't it matter?  nobody deserves to be treated like that.

  7. Of course, that is a horrible and often violent crime.

People are put in prison to serve time for their own crime(s) and not to provide new victims for maniacs who wish to rape them.

  8. as the friend of a man that is in prison for something that he was framed for, i get REALLY irritated when people lump all people in jail together. people forget that our "justice" system is fatally flawed. or what about the people that are in for minor drug offenses? do those people deserve to be raped? what if your child was in the car with some (unknowingly criminal) friends and your innocent child gets caught up in some mess with the other friends? people are sentenced to prison daily, and in many cases the poor and minorities suffer more at the hands of these prisons than others. for those of you that want to lump ALL prisoners together, please keep in mind that dna tests have cleared hundreds of people across the country and more tests are still to be done to clear others.

now in the case of maliciously violent offenders, i hope the rapists don't use any vaseline. but i don't think that ALL prisoners deserve the same treatment.

  9. You would think that alone would make people want to stay out of prison. It's a known fact that rape goes on in prison. Of course its not right but I'm sure its not easy for the prison authorities to control. Who's gonna snitch on the rapist? No one in prison, or they will fear for their own lives. Some of them deserve what they get especially those that have raped and killed others on the outside.

  10. Well, this one's tough, and I'm gonna give my honest thoughts on this, despite how many thumbs down I get.

If someone is in prison for stealing something, then yes, it matters. They're already in jail, they're paying their sentence.

But what about rapists? Child molesters? Murderers? Don't they deserve the same thing? And for the guy that said "two wrongs don't make a right", yeah, well, I bet you would feel different if you had been raped by someone at some point in your life.

Certain people deserve it, but since we don't live in an ideal world, the most plausible solution would be to try to put a stop to it. Which is pretty much impossible because its not like they advertise or schedule rapes, it happens when no one is looking.

  11. well aslong as the people raping them get longer sentances then no i dont care for prisoners they deserve what they get

    harsh i know

  12. I think society feels badly about this situation but does not have the proper solution. In the same way, America has the highest percentage of teenage date rape also. It shows that either America is over sexed or has a lack of respect for others bodies  and this lack of respect causes problems in our society. There is a large percentage of rape in America in Nursing Homes and other places like this. It seems the vulnerable and weak are not respected. There should be more ethics and religion taught and the young should be taught to have respect towards others. This rape problem is not only in our prisons. A therapist or a church group should help teach ethics and how to deal with this situation. Good Luck. Bye.
