Does it matter the form of ur hand wen u overhand serve in volleyball????

i no u cant have a fist but i cant do an open hand and over hand serve it so i just curl my fingers in but they rnt even on my palm is this illegal????????????

its not illegal! i have a friend that use to do that! open hand just helps were u wanna place the ball easier on the court! and open hand helps u to make a top spin or floater easier! but thats my opinion on  the top spin and floater!

a fist isn't illegal, but it isn't suggest you do.

the reason why that technique isn't suggested is because the fist could cause the ball not to go in the place you aimed for because of the knuckles aren't smooth as opposed to your palm that is a flatter surface.

no it isn't illegal. but you better stop doing that, because one misplacment can jam your fingers. and even if you don't jam them, if you hit the bal with your fingers it won't go where you want it
