    In 2007 Ferrari's car was notably longer than the Mclaren car. Ferrari went onto win the drivers championship with Raikkonen

    The drivers weight definately affects how well the car can handle. The FIA set the F1 teams a minimum weight allowance for the driver + car added together, so if the driver weighs less then the team can add more weight at specific places on the car to make it handle better on the track and become faster
