  1. Apparently it matters to you.  I lack the priapism that the deniers have for this man and Lord Monckton.

  2. Why should it? At least he is making an effort to offset non-renewable energy sources.

I buy some green energy every month. So what is wrong with that.

There is currently not enough renewable energy to be totally reliable on. However that is changing one day at a time.

  3. Probably, but aren't all of us at one time or other.I think he could have ridden the global warming momentum into the presidency, but he didn't!! Gotta think he has some sense of honesty

  4. No, what matters to me is that he cherry picks his data that he presents. His philosophy is to ignore anything that contradicts his ideas. Then he want to make decisions based in this that will affect my life.

  5. Not at all!

  6. He does preach the doctrine of trading offsets. So his actions are at least consistent with his message.

If we could all consume only wind energy we would be happy, right? Well, OK, but Al is not using only wind energy. He is using ordinary dirty coal energy off the grid even though his money is buying some wind energy.

How can we know that? Well, his energy consumption does not appear to drop much during periods with no wind.

But if he were using only green energy, he is preventing someone else from consuming only green energy. There is not nearly enough to go around.

If you put solar panels on your house and sell to the grid enough power to offset all the power you use, I think we would say you have done your part. So what difference if your panels are miles away, or your windmill is out of state?

Do you not owe it to others to not use so much and leave some for them when the windmill is not running? It is more a matter of perceived selfishness.
