Does it matter what broker you use?

The only thing thet i know of are the advice they give you (if you want it) and their prices.

  1. All major brokerage firms have very good, well earned reputations, and all are very closely supervised by regulartory agencies.

    All major brokerage firms

    provide their clients with on-line services, including trading platforms, latest market & financial news and research.

    So with a major firm you can have the best of both worlds, the capabilities of on-line trading and, if needed, the services of a customer service rep who is usually registered (licensed) to assist you.


  2. Reputation! Some will charge outrageously and cheat you, others (like myself) do it to help the consumer genuinely get the best deal. Where are you?

    Also some take a commission from the lender (which is ample), others get greedy and try and take a fee as well.

    EDIT- Im in the UK, things are a lot tighter here, and what you call brokers we often call repackagers
