Does it matter what color RCA goes where?

my amp has one input and output for the RCA cables for one channel and another row of them for another channel. does it matter where they go or what color, red or black, goes where (as they are not marked)

  1. Yes,it does matter.


  2. In the case where you only have 1 input you can get a Y connecter and connect both the red and white into the amp

  3. Since a mono amp only has one channel and most mono is derived from the left side, no it doesn't matter which color you use for the input as long as the amp gets signal and is the same as the source.

  4. red is always right channel black,white,blue etc is left. i dont know why companies just dont keep the colors the same which is red,and white
